About Brendan Bullock Photography

After earning a B.A. in philosophy and liberal arts from St. John's College in Annapolis, Maryland back in 2001, I began the process of self-teaching photography. This ended up leading me out to Santa Fe, New Mexico, where I began working in fine art galleries, assisting photographers, and beginning to exhibit my own work. A return east in 2007 eventually brought me to Maine, where I got involved with the gallery scene in Portland. In January of 2008 I curated my first exhibition entitled 'Re-View: Abstract Photographs by Maine Artists' at the Daniel Kany Gallery in Portland. Most recently I moved up the coast in June of 2009 to work for the Maine Media Workshops. My association with the workshops has been an incredible source of inspiration and pride, and has connected me with many other phenomenal photographers.  Currently I am sifting through a backlog of negatives and digital files from the past four or five years, and working towards longer term projects.

I'm currently available for hire as a freelance documentary, wedding and portrait photographer, and am also seeking gallery representation for my fine art work.
